In the wooded sections look for Northern Pearly-eye, Little Wood-Satyr, and Common Wood-Nymph. Very rocky along Electric Brook. The other trails are more dirt than rocks. The viewpoint is decent and worth continuing for. Older change log at page bottom. Print map ahead, did not see any at the trail kiosk. Appears in 50 Hikes in New Jersey.

The park is highlighted by a short trail along Electric Brook featuring two waterfalls. Off subject but does anyone know what happened to the wooden eagle statue just off 24 at the intersection at the top of the hackettstown side? The eagle was removed after he was determined to be a safety hazard. Last I heard he was stored behind the DPW building. We just booked our wedding there in October. We are using redwoods in Chester as they have done a lot of weddings there and the food is excellent!! The woman from the county we dealt with was awesome!! Any questions feel free to reach out to me..
