Christian City helps get teens and homeless youth off the streets to a safe place where they can process what caused them to leave home – and heal. Participants will gather on the Christian City campus for a 5K and fun run featuring our annual tree lighting event, carolers, holiday lights costumes, the Coca-Cola holiday truck, refreshments, and, of course, photos with Santa Claus. Founded by a group of churches who recognized a deep need in the community, Christian City has grown into a nearly acre campus serving children and families facing challenges including poverty, homelessness, neglect and abuse. In addition to supporting families in crisis, Christian City is also home to more than 1, seniors living in affordable housing—proving that care, compassion and community can truly change lives. Children 39 s Village
Our Christian faith compels us to serve all. Thousands of children are in state care in Georgia. Foster parents are needed to nurture and love these kids through this difficult time in their lives — and we need parents to adopt the children who are legally ready to leave the system and begin life with their forever family. If you have a willingness to open your heart and home, and have a desire stand by children in what can be the most difficult time in their lives, Crossroads Foster Care and Adoption Program is here to help you change lives through adoption. At Crossroads, we focus on children who, through no fault of their own, are the most difficult to find homes for: teens, sibling groups of three or more, and children with behavioral or medical special needs. We offer specialized training and support for couples who take on this special kind of parenting.
